Last year around this time, I wrote a post telling you that
that I owned enough belts, scarves, jackets, shoes and handbags in cheetah and leopard prints and I would no longer buy anything with a cat print.
Ha! Who was I kidding?
Since then I’ve added cheetah shoes, a great leopard belt, and a leopard cardigan to my wardrobe. And over the holidays, I purchased this wool scarf
There is just something about leopard print with hot pink that really does it for me.
Since I don’t have hot pink on my scarf, I added it to my outfits instead!
Last weekend I wore my scarf with distressed boyfriend jeans, a brown blazer (consignment find for $20.00), old brown patent flats, a grey T-shirt and a hot pink clutch that I won on Pam’s blog
several months ago.
With the same blazer and jeans, I wore the scarf with a hot pink T-shirt from Gap, a Mulberry bag, cognac belt and oxfords
And for a giant dose of hot pink, I dragged this ancient trench coat
with the same jeans, LV Alma bag, and old brown patent flats. I unrolled the boyfriend jeans to lengthen my legs for this look.
I have a feeling this leopard scarf is going to see a lot of action this winter. It’s warm, without being bulky and hot, and it perks up just about any outfit.
Are you a fan of hot pink with leopard? What is your favorite color to wear with cat prints?
Yesterday, I paid my favorite hairdresser a visit to have my roots done. I am still sporting a 45-year-old version of the ombre hair trend – subtle but still noticeable. I asked her to pull the dark down a little farther than she normally would to accentuate the ombre-ness of my hair. I love the gradual transition from brunette to dark blonde.
After my color touch-up, Adelina used a new curling iron that her salon just started using. It’s made by Bio Ionic and it’s called a StyleWinder. I love what it did for my hair and it looks very easy to use. I brought one home with me and am looking forward to donating my three old cheapo irons to Goodwill.
Do you use a curling iron? I don’t know what I would do without one!
